Making Disciples

You can be a great scientist, a famous statesman, or even a great theologian, and still fall short of God's plan. People usually come to faith through a sort of apprenticeship. Over time, they watch others live the faith. They look over the shoulders of older, practicing Christians until they become what they see – mature Christians. This is the process Jesus talks about in Matthew 28:19-20:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age".
