Discipleship Resources

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity." 2 Peter 3:18

Current Discipleship Classes Offered (Beginning 9/8/19):

Keeping the Heart/Quieting a Noisy Soul (Ladies Only)
Led by Mae Dell Crisp

Sounds of guilt, anxiety, anger, despair, addictions, and even entertainment can generate overwhelming noise in our souls. The quiet rest and joy promised by the Lord can seem illusive, and almost impossible. Yet His words still beckon to us: "Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matt. 11:28) His call extends even to those experiencing panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, and compulsive behaviors as well as those practicing more overtly destructive behaviors such as anorexia, bulimia, addiction, and self-mutilation. No human problem of the soul is too complicated and no personal agony too overwhelming for the Master. This study provides the roadmap out of the turmoil for the struggling believer.

Led by Glorya Hammers

What does "the last days" mean? If we are living in the "end times", some of the players described in the Book of Revelation might be living around us right now--how would we recognize them? What is the exact title of the Book - who is giving what to whom? Join us this fall for 10 weeks studying God's last message to us. We will be using David Jeremiah's book, Agents of the Apocalypse as part of our study.

The Way of the Master
Led by Joel Dawson

This is a basic training course on how to share your faith biblically & effectively; the way Jesus did. In this eight session course, you will learn to overcome your fears by using a proven, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense. You won't be at a loss for words. You don't need to be an expert in apologetics. Instead, you'll learn the forgotten biblical principle of bypassing intellect (the place of argument) and speaking directly to the conscience (the place of knowledge of right & wrong) - the way Jesus did.

Systematic Theology (Part 1)
Led by Cody Vasut

The Doctrine of the Word of God - a six to eight week study on the basic principles of systematic theology, the cannon of scripture, and the key characteristics of scripture. The book, Making Sense of the Bible by Wayne Grudem, will supplement our study.
