Pastor Search

On October 19, 2026, Second Baptist Church Angleton embarked upon a Lead Pastor transition process. This process began following the departure of our former Lead Pastor Brian Van Doren, who was called to serve at another church. This transition process will begin with a two-month, church-wide prayer emphasis for SBC. This prayer emphasis will include prayer for SBC, our Interim Pastor, our Lead Pastor Search Team, & our next Lead Pastor. Following this season of prayer, SBC Angleton plans to call an Interim Pastor, then select a Lead Pastor Search Team. During this time of transition & throughout the search process, our Executive Pastor Gabe Duron will continue to lead in his pastoral role, while our Deacons will continue to serve the Church through their various areas of service. Please continue to visit this page for any updates regarding our Lead Pastor Search process.
